The WorkTango platform allows you to determine user permissions by setting user roles in the User Management tab.

The Admin user role provides the following permissions:
- Access to information including reward catalog, account info, billing, budget, personal user information company-wide (essentially all of the sensitive information)
- Liaise with group admins, as well as WorkTango, for any issues
- Ability to pull reports for the entire company
- Includes reports for Escrow Transactions, Engagement, User Activity, Redemptions, and more
To assign this user role, follow the steps below:
- Go to the User Management tab and click 'Users'.
- Next, click on the name of the user or select 'Edit user' from the meatball menu for the user.
- Scroll down to the User Role section and select 'Admin'
- Scroll down to the bottom and click 'Save' to apply the changes

The Manager user role provides the following permissions:
- The 'Manager' role is being deprecated in the platform. It does not provide access to any system functionality. This will take place between April and June of 2024
- Manager's are defined in the system if they have been configured to have someone reporting to them. This relationship is what provides access to manager tools inside the platform

The Department/Location/Group admin user roles provide the following permissions:
- Oversee admin functions for their group, which is based on how you organize them (e.g. country, location, department)
- Can add custom rewards, approve rewards, and oversee activity only for their specific group
- No access to financial information numbers
To assign these user roles, follow the steps below:
- Go to the User Management tab and click Departments, Locations, or Groups
- Next, click on the name of the department/group/location and then Edit [department/group/location]', or select 'Edit [department/group/location]' from the meatball menu. Alternatively, you can also create a new department/location/group
- Add the name(s) of the user(s) you would like to make a Department/Location/Group admin
- Click 'Save [department/location/group]'

The Department/Location/Group owner user roles provide the following permissions:
- Responsible for managing their DLG in user facing portions of the platform
- Does not have access to the edit or update users through the Admin portion of the platform
To assign these user roles, follow the steps below:
- Go to the User Management tab and click Departments, Locations, or Groups
- Next, click on the name of the department/group/location and then Edit [department/group/location]', or select 'Edit [department/group/location]' from the meatball menu. Alternatively, you can also create a new department/location/group
- Add the name(s) of the user(s) you would like to make a Department/Location/Group owner
- Click 'Save [department/location/group]'

The Analyst user role provides the following permissions:
- Has full Admin visibility into all platform Dashboards and Reports, giving them full system data access.
- No additional Admin capabilities, no ability to edit modules or user configuration.
To assign this user role, follow the steps below:
- Go to the User Management tab and click 'Users'.
- Next, click on the name of the user or select 'Edit user' from the meatball menu for the user.
- Scroll down to the User Role section and select 'Analyst'
- Scroll down to the bottom and click 'Save' to apply the changes

The Finance user role provides the following permission:
- Has full Admin visibility into the account and finance features available via the Account tab
- Includes contact information, billing information, payment history, and escrow adjustments
- Access to reports including user redemptions and taxable reward redemptions
- No other Admin access

The Rewards Moderator user role provides the following permissions:
- Limited admin access
- Able to create, approve and deny rewards
- Access to reward redemption reports
To assign this user role, follow the steps below:
- Go to the User Management tab and click 'Users'.
- Next, click on the name of the user or select 'Edit user' from the meatball menu for the user.
- Scroll down to the User Role section and select 'Rewards_Moderator'
- Scroll down to the bottom and click 'Save' to apply the changes

The Fulfiller user role provides the following permissions:
- Very little admin access
- Designated to fulfill custom rewards
- Notified on platform and via email when rewards need fulfillment
While this role can be assigned in the User Management tab, no rewards will be assigned to be fulfilled unless done so in the Company catalog. See this article for more information on the Company catalog and assigning the fulfiller when creating a new custom reward.
