WorkTango now allows you to conduct user permissions updates and survey role management via the Employee File. You can now make any necessary changes to permissions for a platform user in the Employee File. Editing and then uploading the revised Employee File to the platform will automatically change the permissions.
There are a few steps you need to take to ensure your Employee File is formatted correctly to be able to make these changes.
First, you will need to manually add a column to your Employee File titled '$Survey_Role'. The column name must be ‘$Survey_Role’ for the system to leverage it for User Permissions. If you do not have an Employee File already structured, you can go to Employees > Upload > Employee data in the WorkTango Surveys & Insights platform and download the generated sample file.
Next, add the Survey Role names for the users in the file.
The Survey Role name must match what is defined in Users > Roles; If not, errors will be thrown when attempting to upload the Employee File.
When you have finished adding all the Survey Role names for your users, save the new file. Then, go to Employees > Upload > Employee data in the WorkTango Surveys & Insights platform, select the new file, and click 'Start import'.
